Spring is almost here, and that means it’s time for The Flower Fields in Carlsbad. The 2026 season opens Sunday, March 1 and runs through Sunday, May 10, just in time for Mother’s Day.
Often called a “living rainbow,” this breathtaking display features nearly 80 million ranunculus blooms spread across rolling hills. Bright stripes of color stretch as far as the eye can see, creating one of the most beautiful sights of the season.
Visitors can wander through the flower fields, explore scenic walking paths, and enjoy family-friendly activities throughout the grounds. Favorites include the Butterfly Encounter, a Tractor Wagon Ride, and gem panning at the Carlsbad Mining Company.
It’s a spring tradition that’s well worth the visit. Check the website for hours, tickets, and special event details.
