I am always looking for educational things to do with my kids to keep them occupied while they are out of school.  The Kidspace Museum in Pasadena is a great place for the whole family to have a day trip too.  They have summer camps, field trips, picnics and a lot of daily activities.  I like to get lost in the historic neighborhoods because the housing styles are so different then what we see in the Valley Village real estate market.  I love all the huge historic Craftsman houses and Victorians everywhere.

The first Tuesday of every month is free family night.  Be sure to check the site as this may not apply if there is a Rosebowl parade or Rose bowl football game at the same time.  Here is the link to find out more! http://www.kidspacemuseum.org/events/free-family-nights
